As part of the Renov8 project, my repair stand was based in the Village Green, along with The Green Runners, The Re-action Collective, Pair-Ups and Pre-loved Sports.

The Green was packed all day and hosted some amazing and inspirational speakers such as Jasmin Paris and Nicky Spinks. What a weekend!

We set up an “Alternative highstreet” at the heart of the conference centre. As well as repairs, we offered patching workshops, upcycling tips and conversations about reducing consumption, renting and sharing gear.

All sorts of repairs popped up during this session! From split trousers seams to holes in down jackets, and an emergency climbing shoe repair. I was so busy I was late for my Christmas party!

People were invited to bring in their gear of any brand for on-the-spot fixes, repair advice and wash & care guidance. There was a lot of interest in my selection of seam tapes!
