Training

Finding experienced machinists is hard enough, let alone finding experts in this niche and specialised area of repair. Repairing outdoor equipment requires specific knowledge of technical fabrics, heat bonding and garment construction.
I can provide training on many techniques for repairing casual clothing, technical clothing and equipment. This can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or with several members of staff. I can visit your workplace/facility or you can visit my workshop in Kendal. Materials and equipment can be supplied, or I can demonstrate with your equipment and fabrics.

Warranty repairs
Would your brand or company like to outsource your warranty repairs to an affordable and ethical UK based service with a quick turnaround?
Perhaps you’d like to re-sell repaired warranty items as pre-loved, upcycle end-of-life products, fabrics and dead stock?
I currently provide an authorised repair service for Inov8’s Renov8 programme. I have previously worked with Petzl, La Sportiva, Ortlieb, Exped, Optimus, Gregory Packs, Nordisk tents, OMM (Original Mountain Marathon), Buff and Troll.

Live repairs
Would your brand like to provide live repairs at trade shows, festivals, races, fairs etc?
A live repair service can attract and engage customers, generate revenue and improve your environmental and social responsibility credentials. Brands benefit from improved customer loyalty and it’s a really positive step in becoming a more sustainable and conscious business.
Live repair sessions can also include short workshops and demos of repair techniques. Materials, equipment and sewing machines are included.
