Workshop: Waterproof & technical repairs
Learn to repair waterproofs, tents & technical fabrics!
Out of stock
Description
Learn to repair holes and damage to waterproof garments, tents, dry bags, wetsuits and more!
We will learn several methods for repairing damage to waterproof fabrics, including hand sewing, machine sewing and using glues, seam tape and repair tapes.
We’ll cover fabric & material choice, choosing the correct needle, thread and stitch for your project and preparing your item for repair.
We will experiment with different technical materials such as breathable waterproof, PU tent fabric, PVC, neoprene and ripstop nylons.
Enjoy learning in a small group (max 8) in a supportive and friendly environment. We’ll discuss how to tackle common repairs, plus handy tips and tricks.
All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own sewing kit if you like.
After trying out the different methods, you will have the opportunity to work on your own garments/gear which you can bring (small items like jackets and drybags are perfect), or practice on the materials provided.
