Description

In this 3 hour sewing class, you will learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine. Bring your own machine and get to know it, or borrow one of ours to learn on.

We will start at the beginning; threading your machine, winding and loading the bobbin and changing a needle.

We’ll balance the thread tension for perfect stitches, and try out different stitch lengths and settings. This class will demystify sewing machines and give you the sewing bug! You’ll soon be confidently mending and making.

Enjoy learning in a small group (max 6) in a supportive and friendly environment. We’ll cover common problems and troubleshooting, plus handy tips and tricks. There’s no such thing as a “silly question”!

After experimenting and getting comfortable with your machine, we will follow a simple pattern to make a little project to take home.

Materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own sewing kit if you like.
