Description
I’ve teamed up with Simply Repair to tutor their monthly community sewing club. Join us and enjoy a creative afternoon with like-minded people. Bring your own sewing project, whether that’s making, mending or alterations. I will be on hand if you need any guidance/advice about your project or your sewing machine.
Suitable for all levels. Beginners and accompanied children 12 years+ welcome. You can drop in and out any time; you don’t need to come for the whole thing!
Provided:
- Advice and guidance as needed on your sewing projects
- Sewing machines for hire for £5 (email info@simplyrepair.org.uk to reserve)
- Iron and ironing board, cutting space
- Hot drinks and biscuits (organic and palm-oil free)
What to bring:
- Sewing project and all necessary fabrics, threads, yarns, etc
- Sewing kit
- Sewing machine if you need one
- £5 in cash if you would like to hire a sewing machine for the session.
Details:
- When: 15:00 – 18:00, every third Sunday of each month (but check Simply Repair for dates during holiday seasons & bank holidays)
- Where: Ruth Pedley Building (RSPCA), Beezon Fields, Kendal, LA9 6BD
- Tickets: Minimum £6 donation (to help cover the cost of expert advice, room hire and refreshments). Book your place through Eventbrite here. You can also pay cash or BACs on the day if you prefer.
